About Me

   Born and raised in Haiti by his mother in the city of Arts Jacmel.Rodney Pierre Laguerre is a young Haitian artist, a father, and  husband. Rodney grew up with the love of art and started with doodling as a kindergarten student and his love continually grew over the years. At the age of 16, he started drawing naked women using his own self-taught techniques from watching his uncle who practiced the Haitian Art Style of Naive for his paintings.

   His interest and love continued to grow so at the age of 18, Rodney enrolled at an Art School named ITECH, where he spent a year. After the earthquake hit Haiti, ITECH decided to shut its doors due to damage from the the quakes. Rodney knew in order for him to master art the way he aspires to, it was an imperative for him to pursue his education. He then decided to register to FOSAJ, he got accepted. It was a dream come true. It was the best school of Art in town. However he knew an acceptance letter was just the first step to a long journey. For the next three years,Rodney get certified for participating in several formation based in Arts and he worked as hard as he could to be top of his class. And his work did pay off.

   Rodney graduated after three years. Not only did he graduate, but Rodney got selected as one of the best student to go participate in a cultural exchange program in Gainsville, Florida, US.Rodney has participated in many other workshops since then. Now he lives in Florida with his small family continually creating nice piece of work. Rodney loves Art and he wants to show the world his work.
